KLAMATH FALLS, OR – The Oregon Tech Hustlin’ Owls got their first Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) win of the season Saturday night, knocking off Corban 4-1 in front of a big crowd at Trevor Derrah Field. Tech improved to 1-2-1 in CCC play and 4-3-1 overall. The Warriors slip to 0-4 in the CCC and 1-5-1 on the season.

Oregon Tech got on the board in the 41st minute when Jory Lum (Roseburg, Ore.) took a ball from the right inside the box and slipped by the goalie for his second goal of the season. Two minutes later Tech’s Devin Torrey (Medford, Ore.) took a cross from Sam Holcomb (Elko, Nev.) just outside the 18; he stepped past a defender then beat the Warriors goalie from about 10 feet out for his fifth goal of the season.

Just seven minutes into the second half the Hustlin’ Owls put the game away as Ian Van der Zwan (Central Point, Ore.) took a Dylan Durrell (Sherwood, Ore.) cross inside the box and finished past the Corban goalie and created a 3-0 lead.

The Warriors got on the board when Ayouba Moussa (Niger, Africa) scored on a direct kick just outside the Tech 18 to make it 3-1.

Tech quickly answered just 55 seconds later when Hector Jimenez (Tulelake, Calif.) bent a ball from 25 feet out into the upper left of the Warrior goal to finish off Corban 4-1.

For the game Oregon Tech outshot Corban 18-8 and also held an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal.

The Hustlin’ Owls will stay home and host the College of Idaho on Friday, October 2 and Concordia University Saturday, October 3rd. Both games are scheduled for 1:00 pm starts at Steen Sports Park.
